Startup Refugees
Startup Refugees is an award winning non-profit organization that supports refugees, asylum seekers, and other migrants in employment, skills development and entrepreneurship. Our technology is now enabling their operations.
Jobful’s employment manifesto
Our relationship with work is constantly evolving. Historically, work has been an exchange of value: time & competency for salary. Today, we often integrate our professional life as part of our identity, demanding more from our work: meaning/purpose, growth opportunities, attractive culture, diverse benefits, and others.
Considering the current transformation of the workforce market, we believe this is the ideal time to define new employment principles.
- People above processes
We believe the success of any organization is first and foremost based on the people who form it. People-centricity is the value of reminding us that we don’t hire data; we hire people. Our approach focuses on motivators and desirable experiences.
- Technology that empowers people
The promise of technology across decades has always been that it would help us do and become more. Our platform primarily aims to remove repetitive work and empower professionals to achieve more.
- Harmony above power
Regardless of the market context which provides a “demand” or “supply” power in the workforce market, nurturing meaningful connections has always been the cornerstone of employment.
- Respect for the counterpart
Transparency and efficient communication across employment processes are not differentiators but hygiene.Â
- Facilitate equal opportunities by design
We believe everyone deserves equal opportunities, regardless of gender, marital status, family status, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, education level, or race. Our technology removes any information that can lead to bias in the selection process.
- Ethical recruitment over anything else
Employment is an exchange of value between individuals and employers. Any ethical bending in recruitment challenges the value to manifest itself.
